The Parenting Toolbox
These FREE monthly zoom meetings are offered to all parents and therapists to create community and a safe space for learning from Dr. Wendy Denham and guest speakers as well as each other.
Dr. Wendy Denham invites you to a monthly conversation about parenting. Parents with children of any ages are welcome. Parents will hear about the research that shows the essential role that reflective parenting plays in strong parent-child bonds, and walk away with practical tools about how to support your relationship with your child when you are both under stress.
*There will be opportunities to ask questions and think together about parenting topics.
What We Will Tackle:
- tools to decrease stress and tension in the home
- sharing strategies with parents with the goal of supporting parents who may be struggling to navigate difficult conversations with children whilst preserving & fostering a healthy parent-child relationship.
Our Mission
To help families feel deeply seen, heard and supported. We believe that parents and children are courageous in their vulnerability, and that systemic issues exist that disproportionately impact the mental health of people of color, neurodivergent people, women, and the LGBTQA+ community. We are committed to providing therapeutic support services that are reflective, culturally sensitive, flexible, adaptive and evidence-based. As a team, we highly value reflective consultation, feedback from our peers and communities, and ongoing growth, training and development.
